Arts & Crafts

Rad & Fab Stenciling!
For ages 13-17. Wall-hanging or pillow—make it your own by mixing the paint, creating a design, stenciling the fabric, and stitching it all together! We’ll show you how in this two-day workshop. Information: 261-6898.

Totally Tie-Dye
For ages 13-16. Add a little color to your world! Come have fun learning to tie-dye with sunburst and spiral patterns. We will use a rainbow of colors or a few of your favorites to create a one-of-a-kind shirt! Please bring a pre-washed white, cotton shirt to create your wearable work of art! Information: 225-2056.

Chic Basic Knitting
For ages 13-17. Create a trendy bracelet with basic knitting skills you will learn in this class. Using a variety of materials and crafting skills, we will make a make a modern fashion accessory to complement your favorite outfit. Please bring size 8 knitting needles with you. Cookout Kings: Appetizers

Dance & Fitness

All Sports Training
For ages 13-17. Learn the concepts of agility, quickness, strength and speed that will propel you to the next level in any sport that you play. These training sessions will give you an advantage when competing for spots on your middle and high school teams. Come prepared to work out and work hard! Information: 225-2056.

Yoga for Teens
For ages 14-19. Have fun while learning techniques to become more focused for your school activities, reduce and manage stress, increase flexibility, and protect against injuries for all sports by receiving instruction in all aspects of hatha yoga. Participants are asked to wear loose fitting clothing, bring a mat to class, and refrain from eating a heavy meal for two hours before class. You must be in reasonably good health, with no extensive surgeries in the past year. Instructor: Ed Carpenter. Information: 261-6898.

Teen Fit
For ages 13-17. Get your teen off the couch! Teen Fit will feature relays, obstacle courses, cardio, strength, and flexibility; boot camp style. These classes will help your teen gain confidence while introducing the important principles of exercise in a fun atmosphere. Please wear comfortable clothes, shoes, and bring a water bottle. Sports

Disc Golf
For ages 13-15. Join us for a round of disc golf! Disc golf is one of the fastest growing games in the country and is very easy to learn. This program will teach you the rules of play as well as basic techniques for throwing and putting. Equipment provided. Information: 290-0305.

Tennis
For ages 12-17. Players receive instruction and develop skills in the fundamentals of the game, ball control, strokes, elementary tactics and desirable practice habits and court etiquette. Our tennis classes offer high quality group instruction with a certified Tennis Teaching Professional. We keep a low ratio of students per instructor, which means you will receive a lot of personal attention. Participants must bring their own tennis racquet. Instructor: Charles Gray. Open Gym: Teen Basketball
For ages 14-17. Join us for open gym basketball on Saturday mornings from 9-11 a.m. Henrico residents only. Parents or guardians will be required to sign a liability waiver provided on site and an open gym access card will be issued. Open gym will not meet on County holidays.

Field Hockey Fun: High School Gear Up!

Cornhole Tournament
For ages 14-17. Known by many different names, Cornhole is a game that almost anyone can play. The tournament will feature singles play and will follow a double-elimination format.
